U13s suffer defeat

Competitive score not enough as Chalfont St Peter blast boundaries to win
Skipper Harvey Lewis
won the toss and elected to bat first on a sunny Sunday morning at Chalfont St Peter. Most batsmen will be able to reflect on a good shot or 2, but then they got out. But Ethan Baggott
held the innings together, carrying his bat for 27 not out, and with some fine running between the wickets steered the team to a total of 90. A competitive total we thought!!! But the St Peter openers set about the chase with gusto and helped by some loose bowling and fielding, crashed boundaries to all parts to win with only 10 overs gone. As usual there was some great bowling and some great pieces of fielding, but consistency is needed to build pressure on the opposition, and this is what we must strive to achieve in future matches.
