U14 Girls win 5 out of 6 Matches and wait to see where they finish in the League Table"

Chenies U14 Girls play in the U12 League and have played some skilful and exciting games this season.
The first game was a Home match vs Chenies U12. The Girls had the first Innings and scored 54 Runs for 10 Wickets in just 10 Overs. However they responded with strength in the field holding the U12 side to 51 Runs for 8 Wickets. Top Batsmen were Sophia D (13) and Gurleen (12). Wickets were taken by Caitlin (2) Sophia (1) and Emily (1). There were 4 Run Outs and catches for Caitlin and Guleen.
The second game was Chenies only defeat. It was Away to Penn and Tylers and Chenies were put in to Bat. Sadly the first Wickets fell quickly and only Sophia D managed to get a reasonable knock scoring 19 Runs including 4 excellent Boundaries. We were all out in 11 Overs for a total of just 47, leaving too much to do in the field. although we took 4 good wickets ( Leher, Roisin, Lily and Chrissy), Penn and Tylers reached 50 in the 13th Over.
The third match was Home vs Buckland and Aston. They batted first getting 97 for 5. Chenies responded with 99 Runs in 16 Overs. Emily retired with 30 Runs, Lily got 23 before being given out LBW. Gurleen was Not Out on 13. Wicket takers were Daisy, Madi, Sophia D and Emil, with catches for Caitlin, Daisy and Emily.
Next the girls were Away to Beaconsfield, with Beaconsfield batting first and being restricted to just 59 Runs for 10 in 14 Overs. Chenies knocked off 60 Runs in 11 Overs for 2 Wickets. Youie (22) Amelia Not Out 14 and Emily Not Out 7. Wicket takers were Amelia (3) Emily (2) and 1 each for Lily, Poppy L, Daisy and Madi. catches for Caitlin, Daisy and Madi.
Then Chenies met Burnham at home. Burnham batted first scoring 79 Runs all out in 15 Overs. Chenies got 80 in 12 Overs for the loss of 2 Wickets. Emily retired with 32, Lily (7), Daisy (9), Sophia D Not Out (11) and Guleen Not Out 5. Wickets for Caitlin (2) Poppy L (2) Lily (2) and Emily (1). 2 catches for Lily.
The final match was Home to Ley Hill. Chenies had only 9 players, but Ley Hill kindly helped out with loan of a fielder. Chenies batted first scoring 116 in 20 Overs. 56 were off the bat but 60 were extras! Top batsmen were Emma 19 Not Out, Roisin 18 and Youie 14. Ley Hill batted well scoring 78 Runs (60 off the bat, the girls giving away minimal extras!) Wickets for Roisin (3 - 2 Caught and Bowled) Poppy L (2) and one each for Xaynab, Leher and Emma. Catch for Daisy and Run Out for Emily.
All in all a magnificent season and solid improvement match to match!
Exceptional cricket from every player in every match and each girl supporting each other. It has been a pleasure to watch the girls play and I am really looking forward to seeing what they can achieve next season!
