On Wednesday at home to Gerrards Cross (win by 101 runs), our U10 Lions team completed a perfect season, having won all their matches! Our other opponents have been Beaconsfield (win by 140 runs), Chesham (win by 38 runs), High Wycombe (win by 72 runs), Wendover (win by 76 runs) , Chalfont St Peter (win by 72 runs) and Ballinger (win by 10 runs).

The team have been outstanding and dominate the batting charts for the league. Our captain, wicket-keeper and opening batsman Sam Brar is the leading run scorer in the league with 106 runs at an average of 35.33; Sam's twin brother Aran Brar is 4th in the run charts with 93 runs at an ave of 46.5; Jesal Kulhar is 5th with 89 runs without being dismissed!; Ayan Jandwani is 6th with 88 runs at an ave of 22; Dhiren Nanra-Rayat is 8th with 83 runs at an ave of 27.67; Harry Ayres is 16th with 62 runs at an average of 62; Teja Vadlamani (who is an U9 playing a year up) is 26th with 50 runs at an ave of 12.50; Charlie Myers is 27th with 49 runs at an ave of 9.80 and Kiyaan Hassan is 31st with 44 runs at an ave of 14.67.

The bowling was also excellent all season - Ayan leads the way with 8 wickets (ave 7.50 and economy of 4.24 rpo); Teja has 6 wickets (ave 7.83 & ER 3.36); Aran 5 wickets (ave 10.8 & ER 3.18); Sam 4 wickets (ave of 4.25 & ER 2.83); Dhiren 4 wickets (ave 8.5 & ER 3.4); Jesal 3 wickets (ave 10.33 & ER 4.43); Harry 3 wickets (ave 12.33 & ER 2.85); Ethan Rajanayagam 3 wickets (ave 16 & ER 6.86).

The team has played with smiles on faces all season and there have been many celebrations, and many stumpings and run outs executed. It has been an absolute pleasure to see the hard work over the winter training really paying dividends and opposition coaches commenting on the quality of our cricket and the well honed techniques of the kids. It makes all the hours spent training feel eminently worthwhile and I feel blessed to coach this extraordinarily talented and generally fantastic group of kids.
