As our club grows, the burden of managing and administrating grows and we therefore require more people to get involved. We are approaching an existential crisis if members do not come forward to help.
If you can help by getting involved in any of the roles described below, or in any other capacity, please speak to the person specified or any member of the committee.
If you can give up an hour a week, that's great. If you can give more time, even better. And most of these roles can be done at a time convenient for you. But please do come forward no matter how little time you can give. Ten people giving just an hour each per week can gets loads done.
1. Sponsorship Manager. Sponsorship is a revenue driver that has been largely untapped by the club. We are looking for one or more people to take on the role of raising much needed funds via sponsorship and to manage the relationships with our current sponsors. Please contact Dave Brown (dave@homebrown.co.uk) if you are able to help.
2. Pavilion Manager – To manage the maintenance of the pavilion. Please speak to Sam Brown (sam@homebrown.co.uk) if you’d like to get involved.
3. Help with membership, marketing, website and communications. Communicating with our membership and the wider community is an increasingly vital part of running and growing our club. Our website is our ‘shop window’ to members and potential members and keeping the content up to date and dynamic is critical. If you could help then please get in touch with Dave Brown (dave@homebrown.co.uk)
4. Bonfire Night Organiser. Our annual bonfire night event is the biggest fundraiser we have. For the past couple of years Rohin Modasia has managed the organisation and running of the event, but ideally this should be done by a team of 3. We are therefore looking for 2 people to join the BFN leadership team. If you are interested please get in touch with Rohin (rmodasia@gmail.com)
5. 150th Anniversary. In 2028 we are 150 years old. We would like to celebrate and are therefore looking to put a team of people together to plan the celebrations. If you are interested please get in touch with Simon Hargreaves (SHargreaves@4-rail.com)
