6. Sign up Guide for Parents

The main principle of signing up childrens’ membership to the club website is that the parent signs up and a separate membership record is created for the child, but linked to the parent account. This has a number of benefits:
• Multiple children can be linked to one parent without the need for multiple email addresses
• It is parents and not the children who are contacted regarding match availability, subscriptions etc
Children can associate their own email address with their own account if they / you wish. This is especially relevant among older colts. However, from a safeguarding perspective it is still important that their account remains linked to the parent account so that the parent is copied on all communications from the club.
